What excites you most about the work you do at Penn?

The Penn Office of Investments provides a rare and valuable perspective on the global market. The role offers meaningful exposure to diverse sectors, people, and international dynamics. It’s deeply rewarding to engage in rigorous market analysis while contributing to Penn’s overarching mission of advancing education.

How did your own experiences with higher education change you?

One of the greatest strengths of the American college system is its ability to push students beyond their hometowns and comfort zones. While I continued to grow academically in the classroom, it was outside the classroom where I changed the most—confronted by new perspectives that challenged and reshaped my core beliefs. Higher education should make students uncomfortable, because it’s through that discomfort that real growth and deeper understanding happen.

What is the best gift you ever received?

My great grandfather wrote a page of a journal for 60 years until he passed away at 94. I was given the journal of the year I was born where he recorded that he had a new great granddaughter.
