Emma joined Penn’s Office of Investments in 2021 and currently focuses on the public equities investment program for the University’s endowment and pension plans.

Emma holds a BA in International Relations and Hispanic Studies from the University Pennsylvania.

What impact do you hope to make through your work at Penn?

Besides funding university operations and supporting financial aid, the investments we make are often in cutting-edge medicine, technology, and sustainability efforts. I hope that, through investing Penn's capital, we can continuously work towards developing innovative solutions in a number of fields.

How did your own experiences with higher education change you?

My Penn education served a special, formative purpose in my life, propelling me from a curious young student to an adult prepared to take on new challenges. Learning at Penn not only took place in the classroom but on the sports field (or fencing strip, in my case) and in club meetings. The holistic nature of the education Penn provided allowed me to transform intellectually and personally, weaving in lessons learned in and outside study hours.

What activity is at the top of your bucket list?

I want to run a marathon!
